What a day! Sun, Sea, Boats, Fishing, great company, and a great crew in Skippers Trevor and Ray from Rocket Charters.
On Friday we were the guests of Salisbury Chamber on their boat for "The Big Slippery One 2011" organised by Hudson Green and Associates Limited in association with Silver Spray Charters.
Teams from RK Harrison, Innovate Ltd, Mercure White Hart Hotel, Coffin Mew, Begbies Traynor, CW Fellowes (Accountants), Jordans Residential Ltd, Salisbury Chamber of Commerce, Innotec Supplies (UK) Ltd, BWT Physiotherapy Centre, Salisbury Social Sea Angling, and Exmouth Deep Sea Fishing Club took part in this fun competition.
Each boat elected to raise money for a specific charity with the chamber boat raising money for ABF The Soldiers Charity. On our boat was Bryan Greenwood and Scott Hughes from Martin and Co, Peter Wilson from Salisbury Audi, Dean and Eric from ABF The Soldiers' Charity and myself. Only two of our group had ever been sea fishing before so we were very limited on experience but we were well looked after by Trevor and Ray, and Eric from ABF proved to be a dark horse in fishing terms doing a great job on his first ever trip.
After the fishing we all met in the Nelson Arms for Paella and a BBQ before prizes for best specimen, most fish, team prize, and best skipper were presented.
