I am a member of a few networking groups in the Salisbury and Andover area. One of these groups is BTR - Business Through Referrals. We meet every Thursday at the White Hart Hotel in Salisbury for breakfast at 0645. It is quite a commitment but one I have been very glad I decided to make. There are currently about 20 of us in the group and one of the rules is that there is only person from each type of business allowed to be in the group at any one time; this means that the group promote only your company.
I have been a member for just 3 months and have had many referrals, both internally, working for members, and externally, working for clients that the group have recommended me too. As well as the weekly meetings there are also many social events that the group organise and attend which helps to build the relationships between the members and BTR as a group. One event that is being organised at present is for us all, as a group, to attend the Supercar Show at Wilton House. An area has been allocated, paid for out of the group funds, for us to promote the group and the individual businesses within. This is just one of the many business and social events that are organised for the benefit of the group.
