Genovese Clothing at the Fairlawn Hotel, Amesbury

I did second shoot for Genovese Clothing yesterday. The website is live and has details of the new modesty top for women. Featured in February's Prima magazine the new top is going down a storm and is available to order through the Genovese website. As you can see by the images below this top is very versatile; take a look at the website.

The Dove Inn, Corton

I was at the Dove Inn in Corton yesterday to photograph their newly refurbished guest rooms. The award winning Dove Inn is a traditional free house country pub tucked away in the beautiful village of Corton, close to the River Wylye, a few miles from Warminster and within easy reach of Longleat, Stonehenge and Bath.

Andy Wilsher at the Holiday Inn - Stonehenge, Solstice Park, Amesbury

I popped up to the Holiday Inn - Stonehenge, Solstice Park, Amesbury last evening to see a couple of old friends who work at the hotel, and to look at how the hotel is set up for events with reference to doing their event photography. While I was there I took a few publicity shots for the hotel and for Andy Wilsher, the act performing.

War of the Works - Spire FM

If you want to brighten up your Monday morning why not listen to Spire FM at 11:15am. I am going to be trying to win a couple of pizzas by taking on another business in Spire FM's War of the Works. I will be live on air every day next week at 11:15am; probably making a complete fool of myself, but definitely having a laugh.
Tune in to 102FM and cheer me on every day; or laugh at my lack of general knowledge :-)

Salisbury City FC v Wrexham FC - FA Trophy

Football fans will recognise Dean Saunders in the first image. Dean is an ex-Welsh international and he brought his high flying Wrexham Team to the Ray Mac today in a FA Trophy match. The Whites were disciplined and tenacious today and thoroughly deserved their 1-0 win.
The last 16 beckons now and Darrell Clarke's men will fear no-one.

Martin Starke of Spire FM goes to China for Charity

This piece is from Martin's blog on Spire FM. As you know I did the Spire FM calendar shoot this year and have got to know the team at Spire very well. If you haven't heard of Spire FM that's fine, but what Martin is doing is still worth your support.
Read the entry below, at the bottom there is a link to his Just Giving page. If all you can afford is £1 please go to his page and give. If you want to learn a bit more about the Pembroke Unit then go to the  Pembroke Unit page on Spire FM

These Boots are Made for Walking

13th January 2011
Well the conversation went something like this...

Will you help us promote the big fund raising adventures that people can do for The Stars Appeal
Yeah sure
How about YOU actually do one
Ummm, ok
What takes your fancy
Well, I like walking and Chinese food...
Perfect, why don’t you walk the Great Wall of China!?

And so it was born!  We’re all so pleased to be working with the Stars Appeal team again this year and although I haven’t been to the Pembroke Unit yet both Chris Ewington and Martha Bedford have, and they are full of praise for the staff and patients they had the honour of meeting.

So many peoples lives are effected by Cancer and I feel its somewhat reassuring to know that there are great people who dedicate their lives to making those of others a tad more bearable at such a terrible time.  We all try and eat the right things and do the right stuff but that’s not always enough if it decides to sneak up on you – and sadly it touches so many families.

If a 10 mile run or a 6,000k walk can raise some much needed money and awareness then I’m in – a few blisters and aching joints is nothing compared to what some have to go through.

Am I looking forward to it – yes, is it going to be hard going – I think so, will it be worth it – blooming right!

If you’ve got a spare couple of quid please have a look at my just giving page and consider sponsoring me www.justgiving.com/martinstarke2011

I’ll keep you updated with the blog, photos, and updates from China on Spire FM.

In the mean time, I’m off to break in the new shoes.... got any plasters???
