I attended the Lashings World XI v Winterslow cricket match yesterday. The weather was typically british in the way it rained all day. The guests at the sit down dinner were entertained by the Lashings XI, which included such great as Ritchie Richardson, Jason Gillespie and Devon Malcolm leading an auction of memorabelia, before taking to the field in the rain for a 20/20 match aginst the Winterslow 1st team.
Winterslow gave them a good run for their money with the Lashings XI finishing on 179-5 with Winterslow finishing some 50 runs short.
At the break entertainment was provided by the Major Wrecks Troupe from Devises.
