The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, Hudson's Field, Salisbury, Wiltshire

Salisbury City Council put on a fantastic event on Monday at Hudson's Field for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and it was FREE!
They really pulled out all of the stops to ensure everyone had a brilliant day. Children's entertainment, a good selection of food stations, a marquee full of local produce, silver bands, local independent bands and musicians, the Red Devils, Birds of Prey, Knights on horseback, mountain biking, Morris dancers, The Mayor and Miss Wiltshire, and to finish the night off The Dan Sowerby BandThe Deloreons, The Interceptors, and The Counterfeit Beatles. The finale of it all was the beacon on top of Old Sarum and the fantastic firework display.
I am sure I have missed some of the things that were going on but wow what a day.
There are a selection of images from the day below, but if you would like to see ALL of the images captured throughout the day go to www.johnrosephotography.com and click on the image on the homepage.

Redlynch Jubilee Celebration Party

A trip to Redlych, well Lover I think (very complicated), to capture the Jubilee celebrations for Salisbury life Magazine. John Glen MP was on hand to help celebrate the event before having to rush off; as you can imagine he was in high demand.
Beverley from Beverley's Creative Cakes was on hand to judge the cake competition; she also supplied the celebration cake which was a replica of the village hall.
Nonagenarians Cath Carey, Pearl Baker, Dorothy Newman, Joan Hopkins and Douglas Benn unveiled the Centennial Plaque 1912-2012 in the village hall and Mr George Jeffereys and Canon Roger Sharpe unveiled  the Centenary Clock.
