Jeani and Matt Pre-wedding shoot

We will be attending Jeani and Matt's wedding in a couple of weeks and we took the opportunity of a sunny day to do there pre-wedding shoot. We were on Swallowcliffe Downs close to Matt's parents' house for the shoot and we will be visiting them again on the wedding day, if the weather permits, to capture some similar images for them in their wedding attire.

HIGHLY COMMENDED

I am very proud to announce that I have had 2 images scored as HIGHLY COMMENDED in the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) monthly competition.

I don't enter the competition very often, mainly due to lack of time but I feel it is important now and again to ensure standards are kept up, or better still my skills are improving. I only ever enter images that have been captured during REAL commissioned shoots and not ones that have been set up using models specifically for competition entry. I feel this is important to ensure I can produce quality images under pressure.

The marking system has been changed since I last entered the competition from; Unclassified, Bronze, Silver and Gold, to; Disqualified, Not Awarded, Highly Commended and Gold; I have included a description of the new award system at the bottom of this post.

DEFINITIONS
Gold: Awards will go forward to the annual judging and are deemed to be images of the highest standard and will be published in Professional Imagemaker 
Highly Commended: Above standard. These images will be reviewed every three months and have the potential of being reclassified as Gold.
Not Awarded: Unfortunately these images fall below the standard required to be given an award.
Disqualified: These images have not adhered to the competition rules or category definitions.

Alex and Joff pre-wedding shoot

A very late addition to our wedding calendar this year, Alex and Joff contacted us about 2 weeks ago to see if we could discuss their wedding; which is tomorrow. The package was accepted last week and the pre-wedding shoot took place yesterday.

I pushed their images to the top of the list to enable me to show them tonight after their pre-wedding practice at the church. Here are a few from the shoot which took place in a little stone building known inflectionally as "The Hobbit House" and along side the beautiful lake adjacent.

Jodie and Darren at Norman Court

Jodie and Darren are getting married at Winterslow Church in August, with their reception at Norman Court, West Tytherley. We did their pre-wedding portrait shoot at Norman Court on a beautiful spring evening with the sun beaming down on us. As with all of our shoots we had lots of fun including a trip to the play area where Jodie and Darren got to show their expertise on the play equipment.

Millie and James Pre-Wedding Shoot at Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury

Millie and James live in Salisbury but are getting married in Somerset at the beautiful Port Eliot House and Gardens. Just over a week ago we met at the Queen Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury on a bright but breezy day to do their pre-wedding shoot.

We had a great time and managed to get the shoot completed just before the heavens opened. Here is a short video slideshow of the images captured.
