Salisbury Schools Mini-Marathon 2012

Hundreds of children from school all over Salisbury came together for the annual Salisbury Schools Mini Marathon. The weather was amazing and the atmosphere even better as children and adults tackled the hilly route in 1900m and 2300m races. Highlights included Simon Plummer, Scottish International Runner from Amesbury, who set of and ran the course with the Under 9 girls, and of course Chris Ewington of Spire Fm who was there to compare the event.

A brilliant day and a very well organised event.

School Individual Portraits

I was privileged to undertake the individual portraits for another school for the first time this year. I had a great time and the children were lovely.

Catch up time

I have been a bit busy over the past few weeks and have therefore not been quite as good at updating my blog as I should have been.

It is the busiest time now for most photographers and for John Rose Photography that has certainly been the case. We have covered football tournaments, motocross races, a masked ball, school proms, black tie dinners, and several school sports days.

I have therefore included below a few favourites from some of the events for your perusal. Please leave a comment, and I will hopefully now be posting a little more often.

Winterslow Pre-School

This was my first real shoot after my lighting course and was eager to try out my new lighting techniques. As always the kids were great (and unpredictable) and I had a great time photographing them.
